Reading TOS fic (Sarek/Amanda) and mostly being revolted by the mischaracterisation that seems so prevalent. The bit that really bugs me is having Sarek easily and freely declare his love - and lust - for Amanda, and stubbornly reiterate that he feels nothing for Spock. I haven't forgotten about these. I did a whole stack off-line in a notebook (almost the entire season, actually), and I'm going to write those up and finish up the season, see where that takes us. See this post for general assumptions on alien races.

I had a lovely time on Thursday, finally having that long-delayed dinner with mizzykitty. After far too much sushi, we went back to mine to mainline B5 (she hasn't seen it! A possible new convert, hallelujah!) and geek out. It was ever so much fun, and it got me thinking.

I should be working on my Multiverse fic. I have three different versions of the same thing, and I hate them all. All of them, I tell you. They feel limp and unconvincing.
